Danny Pedler and Rosie Butler-Hall
Danny Pedler and Rosie Butler-Hall, two young, dynamic musicians who formed as a duo in late 2011, combining intricate harmonies along with strong rhythms. Danny (from Essex) plays Hurdy Gurdy and Accordion and Rosie (from Wiltshire) plays five-string fiddle and sings. They play mostly English and French traditional folk songs and tunes and enjoy a close relationship with the audience at their live gigs. The music is characterised by flowing melodies, intricate harmonies and strong rhythms while keeping the flavour of the traditional style.
They have played at various folk clubs including Ely, St Neot’s and The Poppy folk club in Nottingham. They were finalists of the New Roots competition in 2012 and won the Open Mic competition at Shrewsbury Festival in 2013.
